Dear Parents of 3.2, March.2011
As part of the counseling program, I provide opportunities for students to meet with me in small groups. The purpose of these groups is to allow the students to acquire skills that will help them become more successful in the school setting. School success depends not only on academic ability, but also on self-confidence and social adjustment.
Friendships are very important to children and this is an opportunity for your child to participate in a Friendship group offered to everyone in their class. The group will consist of activities that allow group members to become better acquainted with each other and appreciate each others’ differences.
We will meet on 3 lunchtimes and you will receive a letter with the dates of the group for your child. If you would not want your child to join this group or have any questions please contact me on Tel: 0211-9406756 or hughes@isdedu.de. Please have your child bring a lunch.
We will meet for about 20 minutes, and then s/he will go outside to have recess.
